Discoveries

Bodies are so much fun. Each day is a new adventure when you're a baby. You're always finding out new things about what control you have over these weird "hand" and "foot" things. Grant recently began sucking on his lower lip. I'm not sure what the sensation is about it that he likes so much, but it causes a LOT of drool and I'm a little nervous that when he gets older he's going to look like Bubba from Forest Gump.

Grant's learning a new perspective on the world also - he loves to be on his feet and has since about 3 months old. He has very strong little legs (biker legs??). Anyway, we started standing him up to things in the house to see what he'd do. He can't pull himself up to anything yet, but if we stand him up to things, he will stay that way (until his legs buckle, or he tries to bounce and falls over).


Toe sucking - who knew it could be so fun? You have to envy babies their flexibility. Grant prefers the left foot. Putting socks on his feet doesn't really deter him either, just results in lots of wet socks. Get LIVE toe sucking action here!
