Visitors!!
Grandma and Grandpa Sommers came to visit me in February. They stayed home with me during the day while mom and/or dad were at work. I helped them work on the house (we renovated the basement).
Hmmm, I seem to have a lot more pictures with Grandma than with Grandpa. We played with my ball - it's my first ball. Grandma rolled it to me and I chased it. I'm much faster now than I was then.
We also stayed up late playing card games with Grandma and Grandpa. I looked pretty zoned in these pictures. But I was tired from all the learning.
You see, Grandma and Grandpa spent all their time here teaching me how to wave bye-bye. I don't know why. But now I do it all the time - I can't help myself. They also took my picture a lot and Grandpa's camera has a lot of really bright flashes before it actually takes a picture, so I developed a coping mechanism.
On Saturday mom and dad had to go with the youth in our ward to do baptisms at the temple at Winter Quarters in Nebraska, so Grandma and Grandpa came too to watch me. I charmed all the missionaries in the visitors center there. Afterwards, we went to dinner and I had some broccoli and mashed potatoes.
The next week, we went to Topeka to go shopping and to get my pictures taken at the mall.
Grandma and mom experimented on my hair. Like my 'do?? Grandpa called me "Spike".
These pictures were taken on the morning that Grandma and Grandpa left to go back to Idaho.
Notice the suspicious moisture in everyone's eyes that day? Grandma and Grandpa were sad to leave, but they promised
to come back for my birthday in May.
