Family Reunion

While we were in Idaho Falls, we had the Norman Johnson Family Reunion. It was fun to have all my brothers and sisters together for the first time in two years! Grant finally got to meet his other two uncles and aunts, as well as his other two girl cousins - Ali and McKinna.
Friday night was Justin and Karli's wedding reception for the Idaho crowd. It was fun to have everybody there, although we missed the Darneys! But the other 5 grandkids got together and we had family pictures taken. Here's one of the three boys. I had to take 3 or 4 shots just to get one where Justin wasn't mugging for the camera!
Then I got one of the boys with their girls...
And one of the girls' boys (being held by their dads).
On Saturday, we had a family party at Blast Off - there were fun things for kids of all ages! The boys got battle scars from their paintball competition - blood, burns, torn clothes, you name it! Grant and Alex had fun riding the Tonka truck ride together.
The grandkids also had fun jumping around in the ball pits with Grandma.
Afterwards, we all headed to Great Grandma Johnson's house for a picnic and more fun toys (and a nap for the younger crowd). The older kids had quite a fun time in the jumping toy, but we cleared them out for a little while to let the little kids explore a little bit and have some fun too.It took Grant a while to get his "sea legs" but he was finaly able to jump around on his own for a little bit.
And since you can't ever have too much fun jumping, on Sunday afternoon, the grandkids got together again to try out Grandma and Grandpa's trampoline.Grant and Alex did more walking and bouncing than actual jumping. The reunion was fun. Also while we were home, Grant perfected his fake laugh. It comes in very handy when Daddy's trying to be funny. We left on Labor Day and Grant wasn't as good of a traveler on the way back. He had some serious energy on the plane, but we were plied with crackers and juice and lots of other goodies, to hold us over. It was great to see everyone and we hope it's not another 2 years before we all get together again - at mom and dad's BRAND NEW HOUSE!!
