Exploring New Realms

Grant recently made several discoveries. One was electricity. He discovered how to turn on and off the light switches and that doing so actually makes something happen. He also started climbing a couple months ago and enjoys the "scare tactics" of making Jared and I nervous when we accidentally leave a chair or something open to his exploring. He was so proud of himself in this picture because he got up in the chair all by himself and then he just sat there. He recently realized that if he stands up on the chair and reaches across to the desk he can turn the computer monitor on and off. Nice.
I came into the dining room one day to discover him sitting on the kitchen table going through some papers. Hmmmm. Not sure if I like this whole independence thing.
One night he decided it was fun to climb on top of my sewing machine and then slide off onto his head over and over. It was pretty funny. You can hear him in this clip trying to count 1, 2, 3. He's got the two down, now we just need to work on what comes before and after that.
