The Playground

Last Sunday afternoon, we took Grant to the playground for the first time. He had been sick all week with RSV and still wasn't his usual self, but it was so nice outside and warm, that we couldn't keep him inside all day. The elementary school that is right behind our house has a brand new playground, so we put Grant in his new stroller and walked over. There was another family there who had the same idea we had and were playing with their little boy as well. I took Grant on the swings and he liked it, but was a little thrown off balance at first. Then he decided he liked laying down but the sun got in his eyes.

Jared took him down the slide and then I took him down the curvy slide too.
There was a little rock climbing wall - that's what Jared and Grant and peeking through in these pictures. Grant didn't smile once. But the picture of him looking down and Jared looking at him was especially cute I thought. It started to get pretty windy (that's why his hair looks so funny in the pictures) since this was the afternoon before the big windstorms that caused so much damage over towards Kansas City. So we decided to head home.
