It's Spring!!

Well, it's spring in Kansas, as noted by several thunder and lightning storms and tornado warnings we've had this past week. Just thought we'd show you all how our flowers are doing. This is the azalea, that we transplanted from a different spot in the yard last fall. It was loaded with buds on Saturday the 1st.
On Tuesday, it had started blooming really good...
And on Wednesday it was in full bloom! Isn't it pretty? We did some clean up work and weeding on Saturday afternoon and got some new flowers transplanted in the front flower bed - habiscus bushes from our neighbors. Also, the peonies we transplanted from the back yard last fall are coming in nicely by the drainpipe in the flower bed by the drainpipe. We added some tiger lilies that we transplanted from the lower yard as well, so the front of the house will be mostly landscaped soon. We've got a few more bushes we'd like to do, and maybe a tree, but that'll wait for a couple weeks. We've got to get our garden planted this month also. 'Tis the season. (Unfortunately, it's also mosquito season - I've already got a bite!!)
