I Have Cousins????

Mandy and Jonathan took a little vacation to come down to Green River and see us while we were there for the weekend. Grant and Alex got along really well and loved playing together. In fact, Grant asks if he's going to see Alex whenever we go anywhere where there's going to be kids. They had about a half hour of fun running back and forth between the eating area and the front doors of the hotel while we were sitting in the lobby Saturday night having dinner. They laughed and giggled and ran into each other and fell down and probably annoyed the heck out of the front desk staff. This is Grant at the park - going down the slide - his favorite activity. He was very excited to show Alex the slides when we went to the park with Mandy and Jonathan and the kids before we left Sunday morning.
The merry go round was also a big hit with Grant - he got pretty brave and wanted to stand up while it was going after a while. I kept expecting him to get sick or something because it was going so fast, but he must have daredevil genes or something...
Here we are in the park shelter. The boys were playing in the rocks while we visited. Grant got pretty jealous whenever I held Elise. Hmmm, we'll have to address that before the new baby brother comes in a few months, or there will be problems.Here's Grant driving the truck. Why not? Everyone else had a chance. We let Grant get out of the carseat at every opportunity on the drive back. It was a long drive. We left at around 11:30am on Sunday morning and finally got back to Wamego around 4 in the morning on Memorial Day. We came through another great thunder and lightning storm in eastern Colorado on the way back, although no tornado or blizzards this time. But everything got soaked again. We had so much fun on our trip, we're thinking about making it an annual thing. Maybe next year we can skip the crazy weather!
