Summer Fun

Jacob finally learned how to crawl forward after we got home from vacation. It was fun to finally have him be mobile. More fun for Grant than for anyone else. Now he has a cohort to pal around with and play chase and hide and seek and pretend to be animals with. They have lots of fun.
A little boy at church that plays with Grant learned how much he loves Buzz Lightyear and gave Grant this Buzz cup. Grant was very excited about it and insisted on drinking from it when we got home that day. It's not very conducive to drinking, since it's more of a collectible. But Grant was very proud of his new cup. Before Jacob learned to crawl forward, he crawled backwards. He could push himself underneath the rocking chair, but then he was stuck and couldn't get back out. So he'd cry until someone came to rescue him. He found a way to pass the time though. Cutting teeth on the rocking chair. After we got back from vacation, we started with the potty training a little more strenuously. Here's Grant standing next to his very first potty chart in the bathroom. He gets a sticker and treats every time he goes in the potty chair. Now that it's the end of the summer, things went pretty well. He's got the peeing down and doesn't have many accidents with that, but we're still working on the other part.
