Lottie's Latest

Lottie's been changing so much in such a short time. She learned to crawl pretty much overnight and has been into everything since then. She pulls herself up to standing on anything that doesn't move and some things that do! She babbles, screeches, and generally makes noise all the time. She spent most of her summer outside, watching others from the comfort of her stroller. Here she is at Grant's swim lessons, poolside. She learned a new trick while she was spending so much time in the stroller to keep herself occupied. What do you think?

She spent a lot of time in this trailer/stroller watching Grant race BMX on Friday nights.Trying to keep cool with Jacob's 'shades' during one of Grant's t-ball games.
Indoors, Lottie's favorite activities are racing to get to the toys and books that the boys leave laying around the house before the boys can get them picked up. She also has a sixth sense about when the door to the pantry is left open and she always ends up in there. Not sure what the attraction is, but she loves to play with the canning jars we have on the bottom shelf.

Here's another new trick: making pucker noises. I taught her this one.

Jacob brought these "Scripture Specs" home from church one day and I put them on Lottie to see what she looked like! Cute huh? Here they are on Jacob. He thinks they're a mask, like the superheroes wear.

Not to be left out, Grant had to have his picture taken with the glasses on as well.

Lottie was much happier when we took the glasses off. She is a very happy baby and the boys really love to try to do silly things or make silly noises just to make her laugh. Check out these videos of her laughing at Grant's yellow bunny. This was just hilarious!

This next video is of Lottie when she first started standing up to things by herself. I put a little toy up in the window to coax her to get it and she did it, very awkwardly. A minute before, she was standing up normally, pounding on the window.

Then she started rocking out to the beat of the shaker inside the toy. Too funny!
