Jacob's First Haircut

Well, it was finally time. After I took these pictures one night, we decided Jacob looked a little too much like a girl with all his curls. He also had split ends something fierce.I couldn't believe I could get his hair into a ponytail!He looks almost exactly like his cousin Sarah Cait in this one.So I gave all the boys a haircut (including Jared) tonight. Jacob watched Grant's first and then he got his turn on the stool.

I had to get it all wet and run my fingers through all the curls one last time.

Here they are, all his little ringlets. We did save some of them for his baby book of course. What a difference!! He looks like a different boy. I had a hard time starting on the actual cutting. I actually got a little teary too when I cut the first curls off. Sniff. Back view - he was watching Ice Age while I cut his hair. Trying to keep him entertained and still of course.
We think he looks just like Calvin from Calvin and Hobbs!! He looks more like Grant than ever. And also like his cousin Connor - especially with the blond hair. So here he is, age 2 years, 3 months and having his very first haircut! Wonder how long it will be until the next one!
