Seriously?

Last night we put the boys to bed and Jacob got up to tell us he was wet. Now since we've been starting potty training Jacob has been using this as a stall tactic at bedtime. He'll get out of bed about 15 minutes after we put him down and say either he's wet or he needs to go potty. He does it several times (never actually goes potty when we put him on the potty chair - go figure). So we let him go potty before bedtime and then when we put him to bed we tell him that if he really does go, he'll have to just stay wet until morning. I know, we're mean, but there's usually a couple of drops in his diaper, if anything. Anyway, so last night Jacob came to tell us he was wet and we told him to get back in bed. Then later, we heard them being noisy so Jared went up to check on them and make sure they were in their beds. He found Jacob in his bed with my high heels so Jared took them away and asked him if he was really wet and here's the conversation:
Jacob: Grant wiped my bum!
Jared (shocked): WHAT did you do?
Grant: I already changed him Dad.
Jared: Seriously?
Grant: Yeah, I changed Jacob's diaper. I'm really good at it.
Jared: Seriously?
Grant: Yeah, I know how to do it. I'm really good at it.
Jacob: Grant wiped my bum!
Jared: How did you do it?
Grant: I had Jacob get a diaper and the wipes and the green thing and I had him lay down on it and I got a wipe and wiped his bum and then I put the diaper on, but it didn't work right.
Jared: Where's the wet diaper?
Grant: I wrapped it up and put it in the trash in our bathroom.
Jared: Did you wash your hands?
Grant: No.
Jared: Go wash your hands.

So Jared pulled off Jacob's pj bottoms and his diaper was a little askew, but it was on. So Grant really did change Jacob's diaper. I must say, he's not afraid to try something new and Jacob's pretty trusting of his older brother. I don't remember changing my first diaper until I was at least seven. I think it was Mandy. Anyway, pretty funny. Jared was floored by Grant just looking at him saying 'yeah, I'm really good at it." So funny. We told him he did a great job but we made sure to let Grant know that if Jacob's ever poopy, it's not okay for him to try to change that himself. I can only imagine how that would go...
