Summer in April?

One thing we've never done in April in Kansas is swimming in the backyard. But yesterday we had some crazy hot weather and the kids took to the pool. Lottie loved it. As you can see, I haven't even bought her a swimsuit yet for the year. Guess I need to go pick up of those up!

The pool we've had for the boys since Grant was 1 is a little too small for them now. Luckily, Ethan lives next door and the boys all enjoyed playing in his pool that's a little bigger.

Lottie enjoyed the little pool by herself, where she didn't have to worry about getting splashed by the big boys.

It was windy too, about 20 mph, but the wind was hot and everybody got a little pink even though they had sunscreen on. Fun times! I heard from a friend in Southern California yesterday and she sent us a picture of her and her little girls building a snowman in their backyard, all bundled up in winter coats and drinking hot chocolate with Easter marshmallows. Same day!
