First Ever Family Photos

It seems kind of sad, I know, that we never have had a family photo taken (you know, where you all go to a studio of some kind). We've just never done it. We've gotten Grant's picture taken at several different places over the last couple years, but we've never all gotten into the picture. So we decided we were going to do it. The weekend after Thanksgiving seemed like a good time to go, so we all traveled over to Topeka where the JCPenney store has a photo studio and got our pictures taken together. Unfortunately, this was the week that we were all sick, so that's the reason for the bags under the eyes, along with the dark circles, and bright cheeks on most of us. The pictures did turn out pretty well though in spite of that. Trying to get Grant to hold Jacob up for any length of time proved to be a challenge. He doesn't really want to touch him much yet. So our clever photographer had this idea to put the two boys in the crate so Grant could hold Jacob up with his legs and it turned out really cute.Doesn't Grant look so cute and innocent in this picture? We got him to smile for all the pictures by telling him to say 'eating onions'!These were Jacob's very first professional pictures. He's two months old almost to the day in this picture. He looks the most like Jared that I've ever seen in this particular one.
