Learning's Exhausting!

We busted out the "summer jammies" this week! Like 'em? They're Grant's shark jammies. Who needs a blanket when you're so stylish?

Grant's very good at standing all alone now. He is still afraid to take more than a couple of steps by himself though. This is the best that we've been able to capture on video. We even tried to bribe him with his toothbrush. Last night he finally mastered the walk from the chair to mummy. Go back to the chair. Walk from the chair to Daddy. Go back...etc. We had him push the laundry basket around the room to practice walking by himself. He's almost too tall to do this, so he has to kind of bend over a little. After we cruised around the room, we decided to test his problem solving skills.

A few weeks ago we got new carpet in the basement and Grant was finally introduced to the stairs. He learned how to go up the stairs all by himself pretty darn quickly though. We just put him down next to them and off he went. Not even a warmup. What an athlete!

Grant finally learned to sign to us when he's eating. His enthusiasm for mealtimes is funny to see. But this week he finally learned the sign for "more" so he's been doing that with us. Now if we could just get him to talk!!
