Growing Up Fast!

We had one good weather day at the end of January that fooled us into thinking Spring was on the way. We couldn't have been more wrong!! But that one day we actually got to spend doing some things outside. Grant rode his tricycle and is learning how to pedal on his own.When Daddy came home from work he helped Grant out a little and Grant showed off what he learned to do. Daddy was so proud!! Jacob is starting to play with toys all by himself. He loves the little musical Pooh Bear he has and cuddles with it whenever he can reach it. Grant found an interesting 'hat' to wear one evening after Jared had been working on his motorcycle. It's a filter cover. Grant thought it was a hat and insisted on wearing it. I've been working with Grant on the 'abc's in sign language. He's doing pretty good with it. Here he is singing the song and trying to sign at the same time (it's a little long for those of you with slower connections so it might take a few minutes to load).Grant actually took this picture of Jacob. It turned out pretty good. Jacob is 5 months old now and weighs almost 16 and a half pounds. What a chunkster. He's two pounds heavier than Grant was at this age. Here's Jacob's newest trick. Trying to sit up!! He does crunches all the time. He's going to have the strongest abs ever!! Then he takes a big breath!! And does it again!!Look at the concentration. I make that same face when I do crunches!!Whew!! Now he'll take a little rest.Here are the two boys posing for me in their diapers. I thought this would be a great blackmail picture for Grant someday when his girlfriends see how big he looks in a diaper next to Jacob. Jacob is actually already wearing the same size diapers that Grant wore up until just last fall!!Here's my favorite picture that I've taken recently. The brothers just looking at each other. So cute!
