It's Finally Spring in Kansas!!

The crocuses (croci?) are blooming in Kansas. The purple ones seem to be the ones that bloom last. They're my favorite though. Our tulips and daffodils are coming in nicely and should be blooming in time for the Tulip Festival in a couple weeks. We've been weeding out our garden in preparation for planting in a few weeks as well. Grant is fascinated with the things we find in the dirt, especially the worms, spiders, caterpillars, grubs, and all other bugs. We even found a frog that had been hibernating in the mucky leaves out on the back patio and he loved seeing that. Spring's been a long time coming. We are SO ready for the nicer weather. Jacob's sitting up for longer and longer periods of time. He had his first turn in the swing outside this week. Grant pushed him in it. Grant's getting better at sharing things. He let Jacob have a turn riding his rocking horse too. Then they rode it together. Jacob thought it was hilarious. Grant's new favorite thing to do is jump around and sing the Tigger song from the Winnie the Pooh movie. He is JUST like Tigger - always bouncing!! And climbing everything. I took Grant to the local gymnastics gym this week for their freeplay time for kids. He loved it!! He played on the trampolines, swung on the bars, slid down the mats into the foam pit. He even got brave and jumped off the trampoline into the foam pit. I was pretty nervous about it the first time, but I let him do it. He did it over and over. And he slept REALLY well that night. We'll DEFINITELY be going back there a couple times a month! Here are the two boys posing for the camera again. I don't know why we think it's so cute to take their picture in their diapers. Sorry about the quality of the picture. We're still getting used to the new camera and all it's features.
I love this picture I got of Jacob sitting up in his crib. He's doing his full-fledged BIG smile that takes up his whole face.
Jared got a new motorcycle helmet this week and Grant of course had to try it on and see how it fit. It looks SO HUGE on his little head.
This shot shows the size compared to the rest of Grant's body. It's twice as big as he is.
