Just Your Average Week
Jacob tried squash this week for his very first vegetable. He loved it. Got the traditional messy face picture!
Here's Jared feeding him the squash. Grant had to be right in there too. Always the 'helper'.
After the Sunday session of General Conference, we took the boys over to the playground to work off some energy. Grant loves to go up the slides backwards.
He got this hat from a friend of Jared's at work. He loves to have the brim pulled down over his eyes. He says it's his farmer Jed hat. Farmer Jed is one of the Little People characters - from the farm set made by Fisher Price.
Jacob spent most of his time at the playground in his stroller. He loves to watch the action, but if there's no action to watch, he gets pretty grumpy.
We did let him get out and play a little bit. Mom took him down the slide.
Dad taught Grant how to do the rock climbing wall. It went okay until he tried to get down by sliding down it. Ouch! We had to show him that getting down is a little more tricky than that.
He loves the jungle gym. It's easy to get down, just let go. He's such a little daredevil. Mom tried to show him a cool trick she used to be able to do in the 6th grade, hanging upside down by the knees and then flipping off. Got a little bloody skinning my knee and a big bruise, also bruised my ego a little. Guess that move needs some work! It looked almost as bad as the somersault I tried to do when I was 8 months pregnant. NOT a good idea!
Jared tried to help Grant make a basket. He got him as close as he possibly could and Grant still couldn't quite throw it high enough. But he had fun trying.
Jacob loves to watch Grant run all over the house. I got him to smile his BIG smile while he was sitting on the couch watching Grant perform. Grant learned the Tigger song from Winnie the Pooh and I was filming him when I got this hilarious outtake. Still makes me laugh every time I see it.
