Little "Helpers"

The boys are so very interested in doing whatever mommy and daddy are doing - no matter how boring it might be. So when Jared got a new bike to build up, you can guess where Grant wanted to be. He's got his own apron and was in handing daddy tools and everything. Dad's finally got an assistant! Doesn't he look happy with the help? They're especially helpful when it involves making food (and the tasting thereof). Here the boys are helping me roll out cookie dough for the Halloween sugar cookies we made. Grant always eats more dough than I'd like, even after he's been warned. It's like a game for him to see if he can stuff the scraps in his mouth faster than I can get them put back in the bowl.Jacob wanted to get in on the action took so I stripped him down and let him play in the flour pile with Grant. They had a ball!

This is part of the 'tasting' I mentioned. The boys are sharing a leftover giant marshmellow from the popcorn balls I made for the Halloween party at the branch.Jacob's mouth is still full of marshmellow and Grant's checking out his fingers to see if he licked them all clean enough.

Here's a fun game that the boys like to play with dad. If you listen right at the end you can hear Grant smack his head on the footboard of our bed. It's all fun and games until someone has to go to the hospital for stitches! (He didn't really, it was just a bruise)

I have no idea where Jacob picked up this random act, but when he's running around in his diaper, he beats his chest with his hands. He hasn't really watched Tarzan or anything and Grant doesn't do this, so maybe he just likes the way it feels!
